Shower Cleaning, Sealing & Restoration Services
Every shower problem has a cause, and the cause decides the service. A shower that looks grey is usually holding mineral film and biofilm in the grout and stone pores, which is a deep cleaning job. A shower whose grout has washed out or cracked is a restoration job, because cleaning cannot rebuild a joint. A shower whose stone has gone dull or chalky has lost its finish and needs mechanical polishing and honing, not another bottle of cleaner.
The nine services below cover that whole range, from routine maintenance to full material renewal. Most showers need two of them once, then one of them a year — typically a deep clean followed by a penetrating sealer, then a reseal on an annual schedule. We assess the material and the condition on site before quoting, because recommending polishing on a porcelain shower would be a waste of your money, and recommending a simple clean on failed grout would be a waste of your time.

Learn moreHow to pick the right service
Start with the surface, not the stain. Porcelain and ceramic tile are glazed and non-porous, so soil sits on top and responds to cleaning; the grout between the tiles is the vulnerable part and is what needs sealing. Natural stone — marble, travertine, limestone, slate, granite, onyx — is porous and calcium-based, so it absorbs, and it is also acid-sensitive, which is why the wrong cleaner can etch it permanently.
Then look at the joints. Crumbling grout, black silicone and movement at the corners all point to moisture getting behind the tile, and those are grouting, caulking and sealing work rather than cleaning work. Finally, check the finish. If the surface is uniformly dull, scratched or hazy after a deep clean, the material itself needs honing and polishing to bring the sheen back.
If you are unsure, describe what you see when you call — colour of the staining, where it sits, whether it returns quickly after cleaning, and what the shower is made of. That is usually enough to name the right service before anyone arrives.
